Första natten i Gävle gick ju riktigt bra!
The first night in Gävle was really good! I now look forward to a wonderful weekend with my inauguration on Sunday at 3 PM at Castle Square in Gävle! There will be different performances, singing and fireworks - it will be great!! You´ll watch the webcam and celebrate with me, right?I also turn 45 years this year, how about that? Feels just like yesterday when I was just a little boy, standing at Castle Square for the first time, spreading Christmas spirit in Gävle. You can read more about my history and what I´ve been up to here.
Much has happened since 1966. Nowadays I'm not just spreading Christmas spirit in Gävle but around the whole world thanks to the webcam, Twitter and my blog. Fantastic!
I love to hear where you all are from. Write a comment and tell me where you are from and we'll see how many countries are represented! Exciting!!
I am in the state of Georgia in the USA. I love to watch you every Christmas season and to hear all about what you are thinking and doing. What a wonderful tradition that the folks of Gavle have and are sharing with all the world! Now that you are back in shape and all lit up you look great!

SvaraRaderaHi from Rottingdean Sussex UK
SvaraRaderaWhat is missing is the sound....It would be wonderful to share your day on Sunday but with no sound it's a shame not to experience the atmosphere in full.

Vancouver, Canada. Found out about the goat from a reference to the wikipedia article. We are going to build our own smaller version this year (I think).
SvaraRaderaYou have two big fans in Vancouver Canada. We plan to make our own small but beautiful Gavle Goat. I love your Wikipedia page.
SvaraRaderaWill there be two cameras watching you this year? So far I can find only one. It is nice to be able to see both sides of you, so I hope there will be two cameras.
SvaraRaderaVivian

SvaraRaderaGreetings from the USA! I got to see you in person last Christmas. I'd visit every year if it wasn't so pricy. Maybe every OTHER year? ;)
SvaraRaderaGreeting from Pennsylvania USA! Love how cheerful your tweets are. I follow you every winter season. One year I saw similar holiday goats as you in Ikea, miniature size of course.

Why only one webcam this year??? You are watched all over the world! Your festivities should at least be video taped with sound for all of us to see. There is such a thing as streaming media!! Somebody in IT please give the goat a helping hand here.
